It’s been almost 10 years since Michael Brown Jr. was killed by a police officer in this spot in Ferguson, Missouri. Family members, friends and more are setting up a memorial in his honor.

On the spot where his body laid for four and a half hours, loved ones placed candles, flowers and stuffed animals to honor Michael Brown's legacy. His dad, Michael Brown Sr., said he hopes people never forget what happened to his son and will continue fighting for justice.

1/ My mementos of Ferguson 2014 fit a small plastic bag near my desk. A taped-together DIY press pass (RIP RFT <3). And some things police shot at me. A pepper-spray ball. Some wood. A plastic disk I picked off the ground after something (too fast to see) hit me in the knee.
