Revisiting this because I had a couple Region kids reach out to me about the new gig, telling me they’re proud, asking how things are, reminiscing on the times I covered them at their respective schools. A big part of my heart will always be in Northwest Indiana.

The Bears and the Cubs share a very similar team outlook as of late. A few very fun seasons followed by some sad but essential goodbyes. Both also feature some young pieces in addition to draft capital and money to spend in the offseason. Exciting time to be in a rebuild.

Please say a prayer for popular, longtime Munster football assistant and area businessman Tom Largus, who has been hospitalized in Chicago. Many in NWI and throughout the state know the Largus family. Please keep them in your prayers.

We lost a great one today. Coach Tom Largus coached in the Munster Football program for over 30 years and was in the Indiana High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame. Great coach, but even a better Person. RIP Coach L. Love You.
