Teachers always appreciate administrators who understand that teachers are professionals who need to be EMPOWERED and SUPPORTED, instead of directed and blamed. #EdChat #Support

If educators fail to recognize and use tech for their students, who now live in a tech-driven society, these teachers will become irrelevant. We don't need irrelevant educators. #EdChat

My school in particular is still trying to figure out how to safely implement technology into schools. I have been trying to get admin to unblock websites and EdTech tools since my very first day. Seems they are living a century behind #edchat

The thing is, technology is seen as a threat especially to old school educators, instead we need to reshape their opinions to see the value technology can bring to a classroom and to future generations #edchat

I was scared of AI at first too, but seeing as how amazing it is, we can find ways to use it that won't hinder the education system, but empower students to be more creative within their work. #edchat

Question: why is history taught from oldest to most recent instead of the other way around? Kids constantly complain about how "useless" history is, but starting w/recent, RELEVANT events and working backward, you have a better chance of catching their interest. #edchat

I personally find this to be because of pay and bad working conditions. We’re over worked and underpaid as teachers…and if we feel that way how do you expect paraprofessionals to feel?

this is an awesome idea! Maybe I can fine tune something like this to be able to incorporate it in my first grade classroom!

we just discussed this in our educational technology MS course at LIU! can’t wait to play around with it! #LIUEDTECH
