An exciting adventure lies ahead for year 5 & 6 in the medieval Woodlands of ‘Puzzlewood’ . If you go down to the woods today … who do you think we will see ? #AuthenticExperiences linked to film and literacy

Exploring the secrets of medieval Puzzlewood has been fascinating. The rock and 🌳 tree formations are a complete wonder 💭. The magic of the forest has triggered our imaginations just like in one of our class texts , The Night Gardener EAS Language, Literacy & Communication

Dosbarth Wrens loved the ‘Marvellous Minibeasts’ workshop this morning from Welsh Water, learning about the different minibeasts we can find in our ponds! One of our classmates also brought in a shed dragonfly’s skin which developed our curiosity even more!🪳🧐

More play areas across the city have been refurbished thanks to our play area improvement programme. This week, local school children went along to the play areas at Tone Close in Bettws and Morgraig Avenue in Duffryn to see the improvements and try out the new equipment!

Dosbarth Foxes played games to work on their agility, co-ordination and teamwork. We loved talking about raising our heart rate during our warm up and made sure to cool down actively at the end. EAS Health, Wellbeing & Equity

Our youngest learners enjoyed looking closely at the spider we found in the garden. Spiders have lots of legs! We have explored webs and used the microscope to help us to draw tiny details. EAS Early Years brimblegaynor #dosbarthsquirrels
