Damage from last night's wind along Western, just south of Waterloo. So far we've seen a half a dozen snapped power poles. Wind speeds were between 60-80 mph. KFOR

YUKON DAMAGE: We’re getting a look at damage in the Yukon area in the aftermath of evening storms. A few homes obviously in bad shape near NW 10th & Cimarron Rd. 😔 KFOR

It's official. The OKC city council just approved the location for the new #Thunder arena. It'll be at the former Cox Convention Center, currently Prairie Surf Studios. Today's vote was 7-2. KFOR OKC THUNDER

A violent stretch for OKC --- This is the third homicide in the last 24 hours. We're on Westwood Blvd. near SW 15 and Penn. One man was killed after being shot. Another is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the leg. No info about a suspect. KFOR

Today's storm environment is like a gasoline-soaked brush pile--any storm that goes up is likely to produce large hail, damaging winds, and (toward evening) perhaps tornadoes. The biggest uncertainty is the match--where is there enough forcing to initiate storms this afternoon?

These are just a few of the 30 cats found locked in cages and abandoned on the side of a Logan County road yesterday. The nonprofit organization taking care of them says it needs a ton of help. Full story tonight at 6:00 on KFOR

Drivers be careful this morning‼️ An Uber driver was trying to take his passenger home, didn't see the high waters because it was too dark and got stuck for over an hour. He said the water was up to his seat. We're in Moore, near SW 59th and Sooner KFOR
