I completely support this protest. Please attend if you live in or near Glasgow. I've spoken with parents of young trans people - the ban on blockers and hormones is already quietly in place in Scotland.

Coming back to Twitter to boost the thread I wrote describing my own experiences as a trans teen, and just how much harm to me was caused by the 'watchful waiting ' (that is just another form of conversion therapy) approach that politicians and journalists are currently endorsing

The actual experiences of trans people are being routinely and ignored in this "debate" and it's infuriating. I was a young teen at the time this was done to me, I'm now in my late 30s and it still traumatises me in contrast to the "they'll grow out of it" claim papers are making

I'm honestly super tired of repeating myself on this front but equally I'm tired of having my own direct experience as a trans teen, now an older trans adult, utterly dismissed in favor of frothing moral panic.

Hearing from #RCPsychic attendees that the Q&A was turned off for Cass' talks today, so new questions couldn't be asked about inaccurate information in her report or the impact of her recommendations on hundreds of young people who are now being denied care.

A thorough dismantling of Cass, especially the framing tricks used to give it a superficial credibility which is parroted uncritically by the press.
