Changi Airport -quick stopover in Singapore 🇸🇬 for under two hours before heading to London. Now on London time & needing to get about four hours sleep on this next flight to align with getting off at 5:30am UK Time to avoid jet lag ahead of a 200km drive to Nottingham

The weather in Scotland reminded me I hadn’t packed these excellent waterproof pants. Glad I remembered at the last minute…..

Watched the first episode of The Mayor of Kingston on the flight. Seems pretty good; as are most things Taylor Sheridan is involved in. Will probably watch more on the next leg & again coming home. Jeremy Renner is a highly underrated actor.

Time to get in synch with the locals……know what I mean?

7.5 hours sleep over three stints. Travelled via Business Class to get the full use of the sleep bed & then just enjoying a feed in the BA lounge after taking advantage of their shower facilities to freshen up (no video!). No hurry to get to the first stop in Nottingham.

Very old! What’s interesting is smoking outside at tables with food been consumed is allowed. TBH it’s pretty spacious outside & it strikes me as a commonsense move, even though I’m a non smoker.

Gee my recollection of living over here to play cricket in 1987 & what time the sun set occurs is vastly skewed. I thought it was about 6:45pm at this time of year

Nottingham & Nottingham Castle

8pm here now in Nottingham, so 5am back in Australia. Nice day & 11.5km in 63 minutes on a fairly humid night.Running & hiking will be very significant over the next 30 days overseas, as I prepare for a trail half marathon at Parramatta Lake.
