Thank you to everyone who attended the first Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Learning Disability and Autism in Mental Health conference today. I was completely blown away by over a hundred staff attending and all showing such passion to improve the lives of our service users, carers and staff ❤️

🎉 Today marks 1 year sober 🎉 which I’m very proud of! Alcohol is such a complex substance and we all experience it differently, if anyone is thinking of cutting back, stopping, etc Go for it! I’ve lost weight, have better mental health, better bank balance, no regrets! 🙌🏻

Lovely shift on Worden Ward today, and it might have taken 6 months of being qualified after 3 years at uni together but finally got a shift with RMN - NurseJordan ! A decent day all round 👌🏼

Student QI on Worden Ward - I wanted to make it easier for student’s to identify there learning wishes the student allocation board, puts students in a position to have autonomy around what they would like to do on shift & staff to invite students to participate alongside :)

After a couple of difficult shifts … One of the senior nurse came to me at the end of the shift and said ‘you’ve been a fantastic leader today, you’ve handled everything exceptionally’ really gave me a boost of confidence & chipped that self doubt away a little 😌
