I was present in India in 2010 when the government began enrolling people with iris scans and fingerprints into the Aadhaar system. In 5 years, 1 billion people were enrolled. Now India’s gov is proposing a national facial recognition system. More at WPF: worldprivacyforum.org/2019/11/the-im…

A couple of years ago I took a course on debt buying to figure out data flows in debt collection. I wanted to get the facts on the privacy aspects of circulating old debt data. It is so much worse than most realize. This lawsuit exemplifies some of the real-world consequences.
