The UK Perioperative Allergy Network PerioperativeAllergyNetworkUK is supporting the delabelling of surgical patients through education and training. With an estimated 900,000 patients waiting for surgery who are labelled as penicillin allergic, this is a key group to focus on

The SPACEstudy found surgical patients the most accessible for delabelling - with the immediate benefit of being able to have penicillin antibiotics during their planned surgery. #AntimicrobialStewardship

1/ On Sunday 21st April, Tanya Briess will be running the London Marathon for Anaphylaxis UK. She is running in memory of her daughter Alexandra, who tragically died during routine surgery from anaphylaxis; most likely to rocuronium. She had no known allergies prior to this.
