In the absence of any research on the topic, it’s also feasible that people didn’t substitute nitrous oxide with any other drugs (or change frequency, or amount/episode). The ban might not have been such a big deal for many people with N2O use experience news.sky.com/story/could-la…

Great opportunity. I’m told remote working is possible as well, so you don’t have to be based in london. There will be a few projects starting soon as part of this funding stream, so an excellent (and rare) opportunity to contribute to the UK evidence base.

Reducing the half a million hospital admissions, 75K deaths, and 710K prescription items related to smoking would allow the government to ‘focus on delivering frontline public services’ as per the TPAs demand

👇 True for so many well-intentioned school-based activity, including for drugs, and in this example, violence prevention and exploitation of young people. It’s one of the reasons I always politely turn down invitations to deliver ‘drugs education’ in schools/colleges

They calculated that targeted spending on mental health and addiction services would not only help those affected, but also reduce the overall cost of health and welfare services while returning money to the exchequer as people returned to the workplace. theguardian.com/business/artic…

IIRC sales data suggests consumers in legal markets prefer high THC products. Does the legal cannabis industry rely on heavier consumers for the bulk of its profits in a similar way to the alcohol, tobacco, and gambling industries?

No one's going to convince me of the added value of insisting on a cover letter for a journal submission when I've just provided 10 pages of information on the portal
