We are delighted to announce that the Club has accepted an invitation from the The R&A to act as the qualifying venue for The Amateur Championship in 2025. The Club will host the stroke play pre-qualifying and qualifying stages, before the match play stage moves to Royal St. George's Golf Club

Congratulations to Matthew Southgate, Elvis Smylie, Jaime Montojo and Luis Masaveu who have today qualified for The 152 Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf through Final Qualifying at Royal Cinque Ports.

Final Qualifying was fun… same again next year?

The joy and heartbreak of Final Qualifying. Spanish amateur, Luis Masaveu, triumphed at the 2nd hole against Branden Grace and Jamie Rutherford in a hugely exciting Play Off. We look forward to seeing how he, Matthew Southgate, Elvis Smylie and Jaime Montojo fare next week.

This week Assistant Greenkeeper, Morgan Brown, is volunteering at Sunningdale for The Curtis Cup. What a brilliant experience and opportunity at such a prestigious event and venue. Have a great week from all at the Club.

Round 2 of The South East of England Links Championship is underway at Deal. The top 40 and ties make it through to the final 36 tomorrow at Royal St George’s.

The back tee on the 18th isn’t for the faint-hearted.

Another week and more volunteering from the team; this week Crans-sur-Sierre! Deputy Course Manager, Lee Campany, and First Assistant, Haydn Gray, are in the Swiss mountains for the Omega European Masters on the DP World Tour. Have a great week gents!
