Fen Cresswell made his BLACKCAPS test debut OTD 75 years ago at The Oval, aged 34. A five-for on debut, 41.2-6-168-6. Picked for the 1949 tour after one FC game. He was found dead at his home in Blenheim in Jan 1966, with a gun next to him. He had been suffering from cancer.
