An estimated 650 million girls and women were married before age 18. In the #IGADChildPolicy assessment, early child marriage was highlighted as a critical issue. There is a strong call for accountability: 1. To end this practice 🚫 2. To include it in the #IGADChildPolicy 📜

During consultations with children on the #IGADChildPolicy, issues of justice and accountability emerged. One key concern was ensuring that public funding and resources actually benefit children: 'We hope this policy improves how money allocated to children is used to help them.'
