🚨Holy Shit: 1⃣Google is not deprecating 3P Cookies in Chrome. 2⃣Instead it will offer user choice via the UI. 3⃣It's discussing the path to rollout with regulators.

Some say this shows Apple & Google further diverging when it comes to Privacy🕵️ That's logical as the news Google won't deprecate 🍪comes directly after Apple announced Private Browsing 2.0. But Google also announced that they will rollout IP protection for incognito browsing👀

Great example of competitor conquesting from Apple here on content about the new Made by Google Pixel 9. Ads are served by Innovid. Side note: Long time The Verge reader & I love their content but what's everyone's POV on the levels of ad clutter here, acceptable or not?

This is big news in the world of attention measurement because: 1⃣ The majority of consumer time is spent in app. 2⃣IAS works with Lumen for attention & historically they couldn't measure in app. 3⃣Lumen is widely considered to have the best deterministic eye tracking panel.

News/thoughts on #TeaBrain: 1⃣Outbrain to pay Altice $1bn for Teads $725m of which is cash up front 2⃣Altice bought Teads for $307m in 2017 but needed to offload it to service debt 3⃣Teads has a good upper funnel product, which will complement Outbrains lower funnel solutions

Good news: IAB & MRC to collaborate on Attention Measurement. This is an area that is crying out for standards, so I think there should be a binary, Yes/No did the ad received attention then a more nuanced measure: The amount of time it received attention. adexchanger.com/measurement/sc…
