I offer my services to do workshops with political parties and politicians to explain how govt finances work. It’s tragic that we have extreme unemployment while there are so many useful, productive & essential things that the Rand issuing govt could be paying our people to do.

The SARB can lower the cost of govt borrowing any time it chooses to. But that would upset banks, the rich & foreign bondholders (who are the Democratic Alliance funders?) who make around R1 trillion per year as a result of high interest rates at expense of most SAn households & businesses.

Lessons I learned from being greedy is that you end up losing everything, including the things you worked hard for.
