We need to learn to discern just what the enemy is up to so we can more effectively shut him down. Ephesians 6:16 reminds us that God has given us a shield of faith to block every fiery arrow the enemy sends our way. Your faith plus God’s Word is your protection.

We must accept the fact that from here on, there’s no room for disengagement or autopilot Christianity. Yes, God calls us to places of rest and replenishment, but always with our hearts engaged, our eyes upward, and our spirits yielded to the Spirit of the Living God.

Jesus put the right people in my path at just the right time. He prompted me to turn right when I would have turned left. He nudged me to make a phone call when I was headed for the ditch of despair. He transformed me through these gifts and tethered my heart to His.

As you lie down to sleep, may the Lord Himself rise up and fight for you! May He draw by His Spirit, those you love who do not love Him; may He bring the breakthrough where there's only been a roadblock; and may He remind you once again that the battle is the Lord's! Sleep well.

Always remember, there’s never any condemnation for you because you’re in Christ and He’s in you! Ever and always Christ picks you up, holds you up, and draws you close. He invites you upward and onward, deeper into His heart for you and for the world.

The Psalm 139 prayer is essential for every believer today. Search me, O God, and know my heart! Test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything and everything in me that offends You, and lead me in your everlasting way! We need to give time and space for this prayer.

Looking back over the years that I’ve followed the Messiah, I can now see how intimately He’s been involved in my life. Even during those seasons when God seemed silent and life was just a daily grind, Jesus led, interceded, guarded, and guided my way— all while I was unaware.
