Friday Pub Day. In the 1990's friends Derek King and Ian Dorm enjoyed a pint and took photos at 186 Young's Pubs. Of these 37 are now known to have closed. One of those is the Britannia at Barking. It closed in October 2009. Locally listed it has lost the mock Tudor timber work.

Monday Art Day. This photograph is by Dr Simon Joseph and shows the Cascade in Grove Park, Carshlton. Artists and photographers have over produced many pictures of this view. For that reason it must be popular part of the river. What is your favourite view of the Wandle?

Tuesday Quiz Day. The photo of a mill last week showed Paxton's Mill. It later became part of Connolly Leather Works in Colliers Wood. It was a Japanning Leather works. So which mill have we featured today?

Wednesday Archive Day. This photograph is by artist Vic Hine. He would take photos and then produce a painting from them. This shows the Wandsworth Viaduct designed by Joseph Bazalgette. The picture was taken just before the viaduct, built in 1878, was pulled down in 1967.

Thursday Postcard Day. This week’s card shows a rug designed by William Morris between 1878-81. The rug doesn't appear to have a title. Does anyone know what, if it did have, a name?

Friday Pub Day. Does anyone remember this Young's Pub. They had bought the pub in 1922 from the Savage family who had owned it for 43 years. Built in 1868 on Flaxman Road, Loughborough Junction it had survived the building of the railway in 1872 when houses were pulled down.
