The person who was the victim of the hit and run in this reddit post reddit.com/r/washingtondc… reached out to me today. The driver was identified in a line up by him and there was a photo of the plate and witnesses to the hit and run crash. DA FAILED TO PROSECUTE. 1/4

Unpopular view but I see gas being much cheaper than it was 10 years ago in real terms as the great policy failure of our time. Cheap gas distorts transportation and housing choices. Missed opportunity to gradually increase gas taxes and wean the country off of this addiction.

Good news! DDOT DC has heard our concerns about speeding cars near the schools on 8th Street NE and will be installing two speed bumps - one on the 2800 block and another on the 2900 block.
