This weekend, one of our members, a woman who wears the hijab, visited the Astoria pool for the first time with her 8-year-old son. She was told she could not enter the pool area unless she purchased a bathing suit from the vendor.

Public land for public good! Only 100%, deep affordability on public sites. This includes Long Island City, Queens, where at least 6 city-owned sites are in play. And if the sites are directly in a flood zone, they should become public green space or community space.
