Mental health professionals SHOULD be political. They should advocate for the rights of marginalised groups. They should be allies to ending oppression. That is what makes a safe, decent, ethical professional.

Nothing to see here, just Doctors Without Borders saying Israel rejected their aid truck and they haven’t been able to bring medical supplies into Gaza for over two months.

Just finished analysis of therapists' notes from sessions with children in Gaza. Findings show high rates of trauma and loss, leading to severe behavioral changes and anxiety. The 'remaining children' in Gaza will carry these scars for all their lives, if they survive...

These stories are absolutely horrendous. Meanwhile, Western psychologists have long argued BOTH Israelis and Palestinians are traumatised by the “conflict,” and that’s just the nature of group dynamics 🤷‍♂️

Far-right violence hasn’t come out of nowhere. It is the result of anti-migrant rhetoric from mainstream politicians who scapegoat refugees. We are an anti-racist movement that believes in a more inclusive world. We defeated the far right before. We will defeat them again.

We need to stop using the term ‘Islamophobia’. It’s not a phobia we’re witnessing, it’s pure & utter abuse towards Muslims. It’s anti-Muslim hatred. Language is important. The term "Islamophobia" is too ambiguous & dilutes the abuse we’re witnessing in real time.

Holding in my heart all the young people growing up in predominantly white areas & who are without community rn. If you see this, I promise you it gets better. You can’t escape racism, but there are so many people still to meet who will love & embrace you. Keep your head up!

You lot need to stop this whole “we are doctors, lawyers, always have paid tax, you love our food ect ect” we have a right to live here peacefully just by being here. Same way they can have just 1 GSCE and 1 tooth to their name in peace so should we, fuck that model minority shit
