Well worth tuning into this interview with conservation architect and director of Hearth Historic Buildings Trust, Marcus Patton, on the extraordinary Riddel’s ironmongery warehouse and the Trust’s plans to fully develop it into a creative cauldron, building on back-to-back meanwhile uses.
It was lovely to reunite the team from across the UK for a very enjoyable trip to Cambridge this week, including a productive meeting at the beautiful Michaelhouse, a visit to #AHFsupported Cambridge Museum of Technology and The Engineer's House, plus a tour of King's College Chapel.

AHF’s new NI Support Officer, Leah O’Neill, met the fantastic Poyntzpass National School Building Preservation Trust yesterday, who are leading on plans to reuse the distinctive building by WJ Barre, funded by The Architectural Heritage Fund viability and development grants via Village Catalyst.

Pleased The Architectural Heritage Fund is sponsoring this Summer School led by CathedralQuarterTrust focused on the birthplace of Belfast. The Cathedral Conservation Area is home to a host of empty, deteriorating historic buildings. AHF’s viability grants can help test ideas for their creative reuse.
