Back in 1978 journalist melissa Ludtke fought for 14th Amendment rights vs. Major League Baseball since female reporters were excluded from locker room access and therefore professionally disadvantaged due to gender. #ArchivesSports @ArchivesHashtagParty #ArchivesAllAmerican

Baseball on the mind NationalArchivesNYC. The #1950Census rolled out in April but #BabeRuth baseball legend wasn’t on it, having passed away in 1948. But you can find him on the #1940Census as recently retired after 22 years & 714 home runs. Page 12, line 47 #ArchivesSports

The U.S. National Archives holds immigration records of people crossing the U.S.-Mexican land border from 1903 to 1955. While most were Mexican citizens, Japanese, Turkish, Syrian, Guatemalan, and Korean citizens also entered through Texas. archives.gov/research/immig… #HispanicHeritageMonth
