Tiering out draft options for the Chargers in the 1st round this year. Sort of indifferent on the IDL/CB/EDGE prospects but if I had to pick a top guy in each, it would be Byron Murphy, Terrion Arnold, and Dallas Turner

It’s really sad how in the last 5 months, both the NBA and NFL have cut off access to some of their data. Teams look at public work all the time, and sometimes incorporate it into their workflow, thus elevating the quality of the game and making the product better

According to Arjun Menon:
John Lynch drafts WRs with great 20-yd shuttle times.

According to Matt Barrows:
Shanahan Kyle has a fondness for the McCaffrey clan.

I see where this is going…

49ers weighted average testing numbers under John Lynch. Small samples, but they like their OL to be BIG in terms of height. Notable #'s for WRs, 3rd slowest 10 yard split, 4th fastest shuttle time

How many teams can truly go BPA at any position in the 1st round because their starting rosters on offense and defense have quality players at each position?

Jets
Bengals
Eagles
Packers (maybe?)
49ers are like the only ones I think are in that position

A look at the weighted testing averages for players that Bucs GM Jason Licht has targeted in his tenure for each position. Generally targets EDGEs who are heavier than avg, and likes athleticism from his OTs with a high broad and vertical jump

This is why Daniel Popper is the best out there🐐. Trey Pipkins is NOT a bad player as he’s made out to be, there’s so many worse starting options out there than what he’s put on the field the last 2 years

Basically at the conclusion that if Chargers don't pick a WR in the top 5 this year they're going to enter 2024 without a bona-fide WR1 and will be throwing the ball to a bunch of WR3s on most teams. Not sure how well that'll work without a Kelce/Andrews at tight end
