Remembering the 32 people we lost 17 years ago today in the awful mass shooting at Virginia Tech. It is a hurt we can never repair, and a loss we can never replace. Today and everyday I remain committed to preventing gun violence, and stopping these tragedies from happening.

🔥Delegate Phil Hernandez: This is the governor who was fighting for big tax cuts for the people at the very top, leaving just couch coins for the rest of us. That’s monopoly-man economics. And we’re not having any of that.

Last month, Glenn Youngkin vetoed 30 bills that would have reduced gun violence. The Virginia Tech survivors and parents who lost their children deserve better. Virginians deserve better.

17 years ago, we lost 32 lives in the tragic shooting at Virginia Tech. Back then, it was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. The unfortunate reality is that so many “worst mass shootings” have happened since.

As we honor their lives, we must do more to end gun violence.

.Governor Glenn Youngkin wants to strip funding for fetal anomaly abortions. These are rare cases with severe diagnoses. The governor’s budget amendment would force low-income women to carry these pregnancies to term just to watch their babies suffer and die. We must not let that happen.
