POLICE ACTIVITY: ACPD is responding to the preliminary report of shots heard in the 1100 block of S. Fern Street. No reports of injuries at this time. Police remain on scene investigating the circumstances of the incident.

UPDATE: The investigation determined no shooting occurred. The incident is a robbery in which the three suspects entered a business, broke a glass display case with hammers and deployed a fire extinguisher. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

CONTINUED: The robbery suspects are described as three Black males in their teens wearing all black clothing. Police remain on scene investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call ACPD's Tip Line at 703-228-4180 or [email protected].
