Important report out today by the Work Foundation. See below. It's been great to see sick pay reforms feature in 5 of 7 major party manifestos. Reforms, including day-one sick pay at a higher weekly rate for every worker, have to be a priority for the next Government.

Coverage in the The Mirror of our finding that over a million workers (two thirds of whom are women) also don't qualify for statutory sick pay. This is another major time off inequality that risks deepening the decline in health among the working age population.

Comment from my colleague Aslı Atay for HR magazine on our analysis of the time off gap: > 1.15m people don't qualify for statutory sick pay > below-average earners have 2 fewer days of annual leave per year than those with above average pay hrmagazine.co.uk/content/news/a….

A historic milestone for women, with all signs pointing towards more than 40% women MPs - that’s 260 (the most ever) women in parliament! [1/3]

Important that policy focus on economic inactivity engages with employers. My Institute of Employability Professionals article highlights 3 key ways to work with them on this ✅Listen and support ✅Encourage and challenge ✅Hide the wiring bit.ly/3Lk04Yn More scope for this under The Labour Party approach?

It was great to be with Alice Martin & Dr Calum Carson to be in Lancaster, listen to employers from the North West discuss health-related challenges in their workforce and ways to work towards a healthier workforce!

It was great to start the day with a roundtable on the future of workplace relations, which brought me to my favourite park in London—St. James's Park!
