Important report out today by the Work Foundation. See below. It's been great to see sick pay reforms feature in 5 of 7 major party manifestos. Reforms, including day-one sick pay at a higher weekly rate for every worker, have to be a priority for the next Government.

Coverage in the The Mirror of our finding that over a million workers (two thirds of whom are women) also don't qualify for statutory sick pay. This is another major time off inequality that risks deepening the decline in health among the working age population.

A great morning Lancaster Castle as part of a The Work Foundation roundtable session on health and work challenges facing Lancashire employers: a wide-ranging discussion ranging from hybrid work to economic inactivity to the apprenticeship levy! Great work by Alice Martin and Aslı Atay.
