PD Donny was on fine form last night. After a burglary, a vehicle failed to stop before occupants decamped on the motorway. Great teamwork with NPAS South West & Wales Region and ASPolice Roads Policing (RPU) led to the driver being detained, whilst PD Donny located the passenger hiding in undergrowth 🐶⭐️

After a suspected drink driver left their vehicle on a motorway, PD Jabba tracked from the scene and located them nearby behind a parked vehicle. There is no excuse for drink driving; ASPolice Roads Policing (RPU) and the Dog Section work together relentlessly to take offenders off the road.

PD Kira has been on fine form once again- in several different searches she located a substantial quantity of controlled substances and concealed cash. These dogs are invaluable in depriving offenders of the proceeds of their crimes. Well done Kira and handler!

We are incredibly proud of our very own PD Eva, she has been crowned 2024 National Police Dog Champion 🏆 (on her birthday!) The competition was tough and all the dog teams did their forces credit. She is a very special dog ❤️🥇🐾🦴

PD Boris and handler have been as busy as ever. After a suspected stolen motorcycle failed to stop for South Bristol Officers, the rider decamped and decided to play hide and seek. Boris just so happens to be very good at this game, and won in no time at all 🤩

Whilst retracing the steps of a wanted suspect, PD Beck led his handler into dense undergrowth where he located an item of significant evidential value that had been hidden. No doubt Beck’s nose will have assisted greatly in achieving a successful prosecution. 🔍🕵️‍♂️

A suspect wanted for violent offences made off from Officers and went to ground. PD Gem and handler arrived, and upon Gem announcing her presence the suspect chose the sensible option and came out of hiding. Good choice- PD Gem does have a fierce side when up close and personal!

PD Figa is one of the newest members of our team. Last night she was called into action following a report of a lost child. Figa carried out an extensive search, and successfully located the child who was safely reunited with parents. Great things to come from this dog.

PD Jabba strikes again! After a 'resident' absconded from Prison, PD Jabba and handler tracked from the scene and after 30 minutes located his target hiding in deep undergrowth. Great team work between LPA Officers and HMPPS staff, and the male is back where he belongs. 🚔

PDs Beck and Figa teamed up during a recent night shift to assist LPA Officers in East Bristol. Several arrests made, and a weapon located. On her next shift PD Figa then tracked to a male wanted for several offences who had decamped from a vehicle. Awesome work team Beck & Figa!

PD Chase attended a report of a burglary where the offender had left the scene before Officers arrived. Despite the time delay, PD Chase located items of forensic value that had been left behind, but more importantly several stolen articles including the victim’s car keys 🔍🐾

PD Gem has had a busy week. Firstly she tracked a wanted suspect who made off into a rural area and found him hiding by a river. Then to top it off she located two hidden suspects when responding to a report of a burglary. There’s no escaping this dog’s nose!

Representing your country at the Olympics is something most can only dream of. That dream has come true for PD Emmy Lou and PD Hope. Yesterday they arrived in Paris to assist in preparing venues for the upcoming games. Look out for more “pupdates” from the French capital.
