No attempt at questioning prejudice, no understanding of deeply asymmetric structures of power, no regard for the social and political context.

Sharing my piece on the recent incident at JNU where Chakravorty Spivak bullied a student for mispronouncing ‘Du Bois’. I discuss my similar experience during my school days and its devastating impact on me as a Dalit student.

IIM rules do not (and cannot) stop me from exercising my rights and performing my duties consistent with the Indian constitution. Indeed, correctly reading the vision statements at many IIMs (including mine) would require us to peacefully resist the hate that will consume us all.

Today, I was reading Shaheed Bhagat Singh's writings. I was mesmerized by his courage.
In a letter from prison, Singh scolds his father, who, in a 'weak moment', wrote a petition to the British colonial state pleading for Bhagat's defense and innocence.
