Longitudinal data instead of cross sectional suggests moves into worklessness is not driven by poor health after all. ifs.org.uk/articles/worse…

This is where politics is so different from anything else. Get fired for breaching confidential data and six days later rehired because she supported PM over BJ. It’s nothing to do with competency.

👥 Who’s who in Team Sunak?

With just a few days to assemble a Number 10 team, the new prime minister has turned to his close aides from his time as chancellor to replace Liz Truss' Downing Street operation.

Instead of complaining about the paywall, just go and buy a Sunday Times tomorrow (easy for me to say as have a work sign in, but moving on...) Shipman's coverage is so good, so thorough, so well briefed that it's amazing any other tories bother to write>> thetimes.co.uk/article/is-the…

Appreciating parliamentary system - and there comes a time when policy is so far removed from the manifesto government was elected on plus there were multiple chances to elect a PM capable of leading the country which failed, that a general election is the most democratic step.

Policy stasis since BJ left has been incredible (submissions not cleared, funding not allocated etc). And yet, intention of policy (& u-turns) in past weeks had an enormous fiscal impact on everyone in the country through higher prices. Few policies are ever as impactful.
