This 4th line is getting after it for Utah. Peter Repcik with the goal and Drew Elliott getting involved now. Scrappy line. I like it.

Anson Thornton really has been top notch today and arguably Utah’s best player. 34 shots faced, 33 saves. You can’t ask for much more than that, especially with the onslaught of offense the Sharks have had.

What’s crazy is Utah only had 7 shots in the 2nd period but they’re level in this game because of the superb goaltending. Utah also was more physical offensively which helped but they need to do more defensively. They cannot continue to allow so many shots on goal.

Owen Allard with a goal for Utah! Another rebound opportunity that gives Utah a 2-1 lead over the Sharks. They may not be getting as many shots on goal but they certainly are making them count. Fire the thing on net and crash appears to be the strategy here. Works for me.

And just like that Macklin Celebrini ties it 2-2. Really good movement by the Sharks that opened up an opportunity for the first overall pick. Power play goal as well…

Goaltender Anson Thornton having a tough time getting up. Appears to be favoring his right leg and is being attended to by the training staff. Not a good sign for Utah if he can’t continue. He’s kept them in this game with 40 saves.

Thornton appears ok and will continue.

Yet another PP to San Jose…Utah struggling to keep up at times and drawing penalties. Fourth of the afternoon and not a great time with only 6 minutes to go.

Two power play goals allowed by Utah today and nearly 50 shots… Not going to win or draw a lot of hockey games that way. Sharks lead 3-2 with just under 4 minutes to go.

Thornton to the bench for an extra attacker as Utah attempts to tie this game up. Buuuuut another Utah penalty. 5th of the day. 1:38 to go in the 3rd period.
