PIL Newcomer of the year? We’re still getting a feel for all the teams but Jemel Baker would be a great candidate from what we saw at Milwaukie Fall League. He converted buckets in multiple ways and showcased his athleticism with some highlight reel dunks.
Final: Franklin 67, Benson 63 Dom Papworth led the Lightning with 23 points. Kwaje Laila scored 21 points and Z Flechtner added 13. Dylan D led the Techmen with 30 pts (hit all 5 threes) and 10 reb. Jemel Baker scored 14 pts and Muhammad Carter added 12.
Love the offensive energy that Jemel Baker brings to the table. On Sunday for Tru North Elite at the HoopSource Grassroots Memorial Day Championships the rising junior was fully utilizing his length and athleticism in attacking the rim and the offensive glass for scores.
