3 years ago, on January 27, 2020, QustomDot was launched. Since then, the company has grown to 17 employees and got a brand new expanded laboratory. Last September, they got on board of the EU funded BAMBAM project. Not bad for a 3 years old! Have a look: qustomdot.com

QustomDot and XTPL successfully collaborated to print Red and Green InP-based quantum dot inks into cavities matrix on glass. They use XTPL’s Delta Printing System to fill 135x40”m2 cavities with QustomDot's unique red and green inks.

RGB Light up by wire printing ! An important Milestone has been achieved in the BAMBAM project. The University of Stuttgart, Aledia and XTPL collaborated to light up a RGB NanoWire microLED using the additive manufacturing approach at the heart of the project.

BAMBAM partners met at Barco's headquarter 2 weeks ago. They discussed the future of their technology with ScioTeq & Airbus. They aslo visited QustomDot facilities & Barco's showroom. BAMBAM is funded under Horizon Europe Grant Agreement n°101070085 and thank the EU for support.

Another BAMBAM exciting result. After the success of the consortium in using XTPL’s printer to connect Aledia’s RGB Pixel on a substrate and print Quantum Dot inks, the University of Stuttgart has now printed interconnection to connect XDC’s driver onto a substrate.

A new successful collaboration within the BAMBAM consortium! XDC’s PixelEngineTM  prepared for transfer were shipped to X-Celeprint that performed the transfer of the microICs to a target substrate using mass transfer by stamp. Excellent positioning precision was achieved!

The BAMBAM consortium is delighted to announce that it has successfully lighted-up its 4x4 pixels Test Vehicle!!! This is a major milestone, as most technologies have been derisked. Partners will now build a 390”m fine pitch Active matrix ”Tile for the high end videowall market.

Kai Waldner, Uni. Stuttgart, was at the Electronicdisplays Conference to present his findings on using UPD, the XTPL technology, to print interconnects. This could eliminate the need for a TFT backplane in microLED displays. BAMBAM is funded under Horizon Europe GA n°101070085.
