17th Annual Spring Training ⚾️ Academy at SA! We had a great turnout of young ball players & even got 2 days on the field! A special thanks goes to our longtime partners - Bixler Insurance & The Buckeye Group for sponsoring the event & to Sportique for making sure we had shirts.

Looks like Midnight Madness! It was a great two weeks of practice.. I guess it’s time for that thing called spring break. Safe travels everyone!

The Starfires finally get on the diamond after a tough weather week to outlast Bellmont 5-4 on a walk off RBI single by Weaver. Owen Wanner claimed the win on the mound throwing 2 innings in relief. South Adams travels to Union City on Saturday for a single game 1:00 PM start.

Starfires (1-1) fall to a hot hitting Union City team 1-15. Inning #2 proved to be insurmountable as UC collected 10 of their 12 hits. Back in action next Tuesday against FW CANTERBURY after the eclipse ☀️

The Starfires come from behind to beat Canterbury and erase a 3-0 deficit. Bauman with the walk off base hit in the bottom of the 7th. Weaver and Wanner combine for 16 strikeouts. Wanner gets win #2 on the season. The Starfires (2-1) travel to Randolph Southern tomorrow night.

The Starfires get a split today against a tough Fort Recovery team winning 4-1 in game 1 behind a 2-run home run by Owen Wanner in the bottom of the 6th and losing 6-3 in a tough game 2. The Starfires are back in action on Monday at Southern Wells - first pitch 5:00 PM.

Coldwater too much for the Starfires improves to 11-0 in the season. South Adams falls to 4-4 on the season.

The Starfires (7-6) win a close one against the Raiders tonight at Harry F. Anderson Field in Berne. Weaver and Wanner tag team on the mound to hold SW to 2 runs on 5 hits. SA used 3 hits to generate 3 runs, 2 of which were doubles by Fields and Wanner.

It doesn’t seem like summer is close enough but it’s time to think about Summer Skills Camp at Harry F. Anderson Field! May 23, 24, & 28 from 1:30 - 3:00 PM $25 Did I mention we’re throwing for milkshakes again this year?! Come work on your skills!

The Starfires lose a pair to the Jets today @ Harry F. Anderson Field. O. Wanner struck out 12 in game 1 but it wasn’t enough.. The Starfires fall to 8-10 on the season and 1-3 in ACAC play. SA is back in action on Monday against Monroe Central - first pitch 5:30 PM.

The final day of baseball camp wraps up at South Adams as 60 future Starfires put in the work to improve their game over 3 days at Harry F. Anderson Field. As always, the high school players and coaching staff did an amazing job of sharing their wisdom with the next generation!

Congrats to Owen Wanner for being voted First Team ACAC All-Conference pitcher for the 2nd year in a row. Owen struck out 104 batters in 2024 and 306 for his career. He finished his career with 16 Starfire wins on the mound and a 2.16 ERA. Wanner will play at Judson U. next year
