God's kingdom is an ethical dominion. It extends as far as His ethics have dominion. Of its many facets, one is certainly geo-political. All the kings and rulers of the earth are repeatedly called by God's word to bend the knee to Christ. Civil rulers are His ministers (Ro 13:4).

You know women didn’t vote until 1920, right? Everyone was wrong before that, all the founding fathers, all the American Christian men? But in 1920 America finally got going in the right direction? That’s a terrible argument brother.

Theonomy means believing that God’s word speaks authoritatively to all of life. We go there first every time. Under that authority we also use wisdom and prudence—natural law. But it rejects a NL system that goes to man’s reason first instead of scripture for any area of life.
