This is the same reasoning as your college newspaper’s worst opinion columnist. Sometimes if everybody’s mad at you, you’re not being fair you just did a bad job.

Once again the NFL gets headlines out of saying they "might" play a game there. They might play a game in a lot of places!

Oh, your brand client has an NFL-related announcement you'd like to share with the SBJ today? You want a story, or just a mention, or a quick note? You bumping it to the top of my inbox? Should we invite Don Draper?

Yesterday, Roger Goodell said the NFL intends to go "Well beyond" the current number of international games. Chiefs owner Clark Hunt gave a number: 16. One (almost) every week. sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2024/…

The New York Post ripping into "the increasingly fascist press office of the NYPD" and its "thin-skinned propagandists who spend their days lashing out at reporters" and things are entirely off the rails. nypost.com/2024/09/06/opi…

Soccer fields are made for speed and agility. Smaller bodies gliding across the surface with minimal contact. They are not properly conditioned to have the size & strength of NFL players cutting, pushing and driving all game on them. This is common at international games.

I remember being told that the NFL had to move slowly on international expansion because there are so few NFL-quality venues outside of the U.S. They’ve clearly reconsidered that perspective, but we see the downside on the field now.
