A fantastic win by the Boks over the ninth-ranked team in the world! A 26-point margin. After the Pumas win, South Africa surely has one hand on the Championship! Get the engraver on stand by next week.

The big time Boks extended their current win streak to 2 after dispatching 16th-ranked Portugal and now the 9th-ranked Wallabies. The heavy favourites now have the lead for the Rugby Championship! Who will be able to catch them?!

The Wallabies can beat this Bok side in Perth. Not saying they will but they’ll be better than last week. A couple of quick scores to get on top and it’s a different ball game.

How could you not back the Boks this week at Emirates Airline Park? Super Rugby is just so bad compared to the European stuff, isn’t it? The All Blacks are toast. Could be 2004 all over again.

The Springboks have won a healthy 50% of the Tests at Ellis Park against the All Blacks (4/8) since Joel Stransky’s drop goal in 1995.

Rough final quarter for the All Blacks blowing a 10 point lead. Inexperienced bench really did not do the job. A good comeback by the Springboks, but All Blacks will be dirty with that.

All Blacks in the lead for 81 per cent of the game. Springboks starters gifted a five pointer and were still behind by 10 when ABs pulled theirs off. Story of the game is All Blacks’ bench. Period. Not a win to be crowing about really.

No excuses for the All Blacks! The finish must be better. When the opponent is on the ropes, must deliver the final blow. The Bongi knock-on doesn’t even matter, but nice of the Boks to always need the charity! Kings of 15 of 14 power home with the one man advantage!

The Wallabies win over the Pumas in Argentina, in wet conditions, was real grit and character. Real Test rugby. Loosies stood up, Gordon and Lolesio didn’t overplay, Len Ikitau sparked two big plays. Impressive.

A deserved win for the Springboks. A tough Test with small margins but ultimately the Boks wrestled control back. ABs too inaccurate second half. First Freedom Cup since 2009 and Rugby Championship all but sealed. The drought is over!

My top five current men’s rankings through 4/6 TRC rounds. 1. Ireland 2. South Africa 3. New Zealand 4. France 5. Argentina

Super Rugby is not the issue. Look at the team from Cape Town. The title-winning Blues had no starting forwards, just two backs. Sam Cane, Ardie Savea, Beauden Barrett played no SR. Will Jordan was out for the entire season. Tamaiti Williams & Codie Taylor played 4 games.

The Springboks are having a nice streak right now, five test wins in a row. Nine more to match Kitch Christie’s Boks and 12 more needed to catch Nick Mallett’s.

The Springboks are still a better team without the ball. Error-strewn and can’t finish line breaks. Strong in other areas of course, but this isn’t the greatest rugby ever seen. How can the “best ever” rugby team be better without the ball than with it?
