It's a bit drizzly today, but we had wall to wall sunshine for the uptoncountrypark Community Wildlife Adventure Day last week! ☀️ Over 80 of you came to chat about all things birds and watersports and how you can be wildlife friendly around the harbour 🤩🍦

We were back at Turlin Moor last week to help the Parks Foundation and some local volunteers plant up Doris and remove fly tipping 👏 What a great community effort! We saw wasp spiders, lizards, slow worms, a Jersey tiger moth, lots of saltmarsh plants, oystercatcher, and more 💚

A lovely walk and talk in the morning sun today at Lytchett Bay! ☀️🦅🌸 Top sightings were osprey and water rail plus the usual suspects like gulls, cormorant, little egret, mallard, and a lone black-tailed godwit. See if you can spot the Osprey in the second picture!

A fun afternoon at Livability HoltonLee was interrupted this afternoon by the sound of Emily shouting 'white-tailed eagle!!!!' across the field 😂 But we couldn't risk anyone missing such an awesome sight. We're so lucky in Poole Harbour to see so many amazing birds!

Not all birds who spend time in Britain are boring! (No offence if you're a brown bird 😉) Spoonbill definitely stand out with their spoon shaped beak, one to look out for at Poole Harbour 👀 Just be sure to give them lots of space so they feel safe enough to hang around 💚

What a treat earlier in the week on our guided walk at Turlin Moor! We saw 3 osprey fishing and a whimbrel 😍 Improvements will be made soon to the viewing area so we're looking forward to it being more accessible and better for viewing birds whilst leaving them undisturbed!
