Thank you to everyone who showed up for this year's "New Dancong Week" so far! Because some things are worth celebrating, there's still 24 hours to get 30% extra Tea Miles with your order, as well as a $5 gaiwan.

One of the fun parts of this job is having free reign to design a tea's packaging however we want. For this year's dancong, always a thematic drop, we also managed to make that a tedious endeavor, eschewing (most) technology and embracing a week of arts and crafts.

While you could try to jam all of your teaware onto one tray, why net stretch your tea legs out and give your cups their own space?

Although Xinrenxiang is often translated as "Apricot Kernel Fragrance", we've always felt that good examples of this varietal have a stronger Almond confection quality, as is the case with this year's mid-mountain Marzipan.

Developed by diehard Dancong drinkers, our new Xiyuan boiler and stove set is ideal for doing just that. With a ~370ml capacity, the water comes to a boil noticeably quicker than with larger kettles, which are often around 700ml.

A new varietal in the mix this year, this Zhuye (bamboo leaf, under the Zhilanxiang umbrella) Dancong is one of the most unique out of the bunch, with a warm tone of fragrance, making it feel quite rounded. This quality is then contrasted by a refreshing and floral aftertaste ...

In an effort to keep things Dancong-centric last month, we also added a handful of new boilers and stoves, including this charcoal fueled set.

After moving houses a month or so ago, we've officially found our new favourite spot for brewing outdoors. It turns out the wetlands by Dianchi lake are also home to egrets, herons and lots of other birds, so we decided to bring them some Dancong. They didn't seem to into it,...

It's always nice to have a new line of teaware be so well received. But when that teaware has a unique pseudo-shino glaze and hand painted cat on it, it's also not much of a surprise. bitterleafteas.com/shop/teaware/t…

With a 130ml capacity, although it's the smallest of this month's Creation Wood Fired Houhins, it's also the most likely to take flight. Fortunately this pegasus has been well behaved so far, so don't think you have reason to worry. bitterleafteas.com/shop/teaware/g…

We have one more O2 Source gaiwan in stock, and it might be the last. Although we love these gaiwans for the quality of glass and for being the closest thing we can find to invisible teaware, they don't seem to be the easiest piece to make, as we've had to send back about hal...

Our Stratus teapots are the newest addition to our soda ash, wood fired teaware, leaning into a more sophisticated pallet of whites and greys.

One of our favourite Yunnan whites of recent years, this Baimudan grade white tea comprises of Wuliang Shan material that delivers a crisp and fragrant soup that combines floral notes of gardenia with a gentle green apple quality in the aftertaste.
