Gorgeous pass to Alec Pierce for the Colts' TD with :17 left and Indy takes the lead. Give Ryan credit: Indy put the ball in his hands today and he's delivered. Best game he's played all year, by a lot.

That looked like an OPI on Woods to me, but it'll coujnt and the Colts take a 26-21 lead with 12:47 remaining.

They have officially run out of positions for Pryor. Can't play left tackle, can't play right tackle, can't play right guard.

I have no earthly idea what Matt Ryan was doing on that third down play. Just gave up on the play and took an intentional grounding. Bizarre and pathetic.

As they just mentioned on the broadcast, the Colts average giving up 96 rushing yards per game. The Jags already have 84 with 3:48 left in the first quarter. Jags lead 7-0. Colts tried to go uptempo early, but two possessions, two punts.

If any NBA franchise has earned the right to strategically stink for a season or more, it’s Indiana, Bob Kravitz writes.

And this is the perfect year to do it.

I feel so fortunate to have entered the biz in the early 80’s, when newspapers were flush with money. Breaks my heart to see what’s going on in the business now, especially the Star.

If any franchise has the right to tank - sorry, rebuild - it’s the Pacers. No apologies. This team has studiously avoided strategic stinking for decades. Time to jump in the Wenbanyama lottery.
