AI is already augmenting human copywriting/video editing/illustration/coding work, at scale.

Q: How far are we from AI at least *augmenting* human AI research (e.g parameter tuning, new algorithms)?

Seems like a significant milestone towards AGI that doesn't seem very far away.

The best “products” today are using models that are 6 - 12 months behind true state of the art, and every 6 months has been a 10X improvement. I think it will be hard to be more wrong (in both magnitude and direction) on anything in our lifetimes than on this.
