Welcome back to all the pupils at Bolton School this morning. From the babies in nursery to those starting their final A level year we welcome back 2400 pupils to their school.

An academic year always feels like a much better time than January for new year resolutions. New challenges, nurturing friendships, making the team, trying something new, being consistent, new habits replacing some worn ones: all that happens almost naturally as we assemble

I also always picture a huge logistics exercise coming to life across the catchment area - 24 coaches on their routes again ,walks and drives on the school run. Much to look forward to and that is what keeps schools an enriching place to work

We have had a lovely morning welcoming our new girls and new staff. We have been learning about our Hesketh House habits #Heskethhabits

Medea is one of my top 3 characters from Classical myth. This moot trial during half term will be an interesting live-streamed event for all our students interested in Law, Classics or Psychology.
