Variants in Canada update based on GISAID data from today: BQ.1.1 and BF.13 are the fastest growing lineages, each with a selective advantage of 8.5% [95%CI: 6-12%] relative to the main BA.5.2 lineage in 🇨🇦, implying a doubling time of ~8 days.

The logical extension of current Doug Ford policies on Ontario universities: the nominal freeze on both domestic tuition & government grants, if extended through to the end of the second mandate, means a 30% drop in real income from these sources (figs are in billions of $2020)

We updated our database and now list 385 postdoc fellowship opportunities (w/ description, deadline, amount, eligibility, etc).
