A thing I've seen that troubles me to no end: People who were wronged by an individual or group of people then embrace types of evil that the people who wronged them (rightly) oppose. It manifests as ugly, manipulative vengefulness...and it only further accentuates their misery.

Few things are more inverted than claiming to advocate against something as horrific as abuse in the church while simultaneously eroding standards that will guarantee and enable more of it. To be sure, there are real critiques of what's known as "purity culture." This isn't one.

No. No, it does not.

The big story coming out of this debate is going to be about the conduct of the moderators, not the substance of what the candidates said. Crummy.

Of the issues gender ideology affects that you'd think might evoke sympathy from everyone across the board, it's incarcerated women locked up with male rapists and murderers. I mean, it practically has "lefty social justice warrior pet cause" written all over it. Oh, but no.

I'm an evangelical Christian who unexpectedly found himself obtaining a Master's degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC a few years ago. Loved my time there, I learned a lot, and I love my Catholic friends. But this right here? No. Just no.

There is no such thing as "ethical porn" or "ethical nonmonagamy". It is inherently exploitative and wrong. Porn always objectifies. Adultery destroys families. It is so flabbergasting to see people consider this postmodern drivel to be a healthy alternative to "purity culture."
