This past Saturday, Fr. Bill Verbryke, S.J. celebrated his 50th anniversary with the Society of Jesus. We are blessed to have him as the President of Brebeuf Jesuit, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have witnessed firsthand this milestone of his.

Ms. Sherry Annee travelled to Boston College yesterday and met up with three Brebeuf alumnae: Anna Witchger ‘23, Kelly Gardner ‘20, and Laila Kiwanuka ‘23. We love to see our Braves out and about, living their best lives in college!

13 Brebeuf students attended the ILI- Indiana Latino Institute- Education Summit and College and Career Fair today. They heard from keynote speaker Rafael Sanchez and college professionals about the admissions process. We are glad they had the opportunity to attend this event!

Mrs. Newman got to see Jaden Edmonds ‘22 at the annual IU Groups Scholars Recommender Workshop earlier this week. He is now President of IU Groups Scholars Peer Ambassadors. We are so very proud of him!

Last week, in honor of Philanthropy Week, the Brebeuf Dance team took some time to create handmade, no-sew blankets to donate to Little Red Door Cancer Agency. What a way to show how #Brebeufgives back!

We are proud of the 8 National Merit Semifinalists from Brebeuf! Nicholas Ihlendorf, Max Kitchell, Alex Kult, Evan Peacock, Lily Klinzing, Samantha McCabe, Elise Pierle, and Teddy Potts are 8 of just 295 students from Indiana to reach this accomplishment...out of over 86,000!

It’s the first day of the HBCU trip in Greensboro, NC! Seeing Bennett College, North Carolina A&T and the International Civil Rights Museum today!

And on day 3 of the HBCU Trip, Cidney Hart ‘21 met up with our group at Norfolk State! It was so wonderful to see Cidney!

It was awesome to visit Howard University on Day 4 of our HBCU trip! We got to catch up with Rachel ‘22, Maddie ‘22, and Sadiyah ‘22 AND got to meet the legendary Phylicia Rashad, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts.

Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team who competed at the Nike Twilight meet this weekend. The varsity team placed 3rd overall and two finished in the top 10 in the Open Division. Lucy Wood finished 3rd individually, and Isabel Garcia finished 6th. Way to go, Braves!

We love to see these “Smiles of Victory” from the bus ride home as boys soccer won over Guerin in the opening round of sectionals Monday night with a score of 4-1.
