The Euros in Belfast would have been transformational. Tragic that some Stormont parties are in denial about the opportunity we've lost. We now need urgent clarity on when Casement will actually be built.

The Finance Minister did not raise Casement Park with the Chancellor last week. She was also unable to confirm when she knew about the decision. Although the UK Govt has handled it appallingly, the Executive's dysfunction over the last decade got us into this situation.

The Sec of State seems to believe the planning permission was for a Euro compliant stadium and its now back to the drawing board. 'When planning permission was given for Casement for the Euros...' But that's not the case.

The best stadium in the world was made in Ulster.

The streets around Queens are thronged with students enjoying the September sunshine, the cafes and the parks are full, you can hear the laughter and the chat. Their whole future ahead of them - great to see it.
