First visit of the season to glorious Prestonfield for The Park’s Motor Group Scottish Lowland League action as Linlithgow Rose F.C. entertain East Stirlingshire FC . Still say this is the best ground outwith the SPFL.

Very one sided first 30 minutes at Prestonfield but Linlithgow Rose F.C. only managed one goal due to a combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping. East Stirlingshire FC equalised just before HT and it was more even thereafter with the Rose securing all 3 points with a late winner.

A bit of a trek but back to the North Caledonian FA league tonight. Attractive Morrison Park home to Halkirk United FC - Thurso Football Club being the visitors. I know I am up north but it is freezing!

A one-sided Caithness derby with the tone set in the first 10 minutes - 4-0 to the hosts. Finished 9-1 to Halkirk United FC over Thurso Football Club . Only consolation for the visitors - I thought they scored the best goal of the night and there were a few excellent goals scored.

A big thank you to everyone at Halkirk United FC who made me feel so welcome at Morrison Park. The provision of free food and coffee much appreciated as was the seat at HT. A club well worth a visit.
