One of the many frames of last night. Stunning green swirls under a grove of trees set the scene for one of the most remarkable moments of the year for me. Single exposure taken just outside of Pittsville, WI at 3:22AM.

Just two quick edits from last night and Friday night, respectively. I have so much to work through in the next couple of days but you can bet that I will spam post all my aurora stuff from this weekend soon

Sadly swallows are scarcer than ever this year, they’re incredible birds that frequently take up residence in barns & stables. A single bird will consume < 800 insects a day, just think of it as a natural pest controller & not a nuisance.

Okay, one more from the May 10/11th aurora event before I go back to my regular landscape stuff. The white balance here was corrected, by the way. It really was this purple and blue overhead in Wisconsin.
