Meet the C-130H airtanker. The first of 7 of these aircraft goes into service today at AEU's McClellan Airtanker Base. Capable of delivering 4,000 gallons of retardant in a single flight, they will add to our capabilities in pursuit of keeping 95% of fires to 10 acres or less.

On 8/29/24, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers, with assistance from the Amador County District Attorney’s Office, arrested Danny Killion, 39, in Yuba City on suspicion of starting the Electra Fire in Amador County on July 4, 2022. Details below.
