Meet the C-130H airtanker. The first of 7 of these aircraft goes into service today at AEU's McClellan Airtanker Base. Capable of delivering 4,000 gallons of retardant in a single flight, they will add to our capabilities in pursuit of keeping 95% of fires to 10 acres or less.

Yesterday, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers, assisted by the ⁦⁦El Dorado Sheriff⁩, arrested Lacy Young, age 41, on suspicion of starting three separate fires earlier in the day in the area of Fort Jim Road and Newtown Road in Placerville. Details below.
