COMMUTER ALERT- FRESNO COUNTY: Lane and ramp closures scheduled next week along portions of State Route 99 and State Route 41 for overnight road repairs. Drivers should plan accordingly.

FRESNO: Northbound State Route 99 offramp at Shaw Avenue will be closed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for road maintenance operation. Alternate routes are advised; motorists should plan accordingly.

Congratulations to Caltrans District 6 on the completion of the Kern County portion of the State Route 46 widening project, converting a 2-lane conventional highway to a 4-lane expressway, enhancing traffic mobility and safety for the community

Today, Caltrans District 6 was joined by partners and dignitaries for the SR 46 Widening Project Ribbon-Cutting. The project replaced the two-lane undivided highway with a four-lane expressway and provided enhanced safety features for pedestrians and bicyclists.

KERN COUNTY: Northbound State Route 99 reduced to 1 lane just north of Merced Avenue due to big rig fire. Traffic currently backed up 3 miles.
